Some Examples of amazing Hikes we did ourselves in the Valtellina region (click the pictures for Komoot details)

1. Valmasino & Val di Mello: Already at low altitudes, the wild nature that characterizes the Masino (Val di Masino & Val di Mello) can be reached by everyone. The valley, generally flat and with modest differences in altitude , is suitable for light walks and simple hiking in a beautiful surrounding. The more adventurous hikers can continue with a steap climb starting at Luna Nascente to the View point at Casera Pioda.

2. Lago Di Alpe Gera is a high mountain lake at an elevation of 2.024m above sea level. You can walk a loop around the
lake which is a 9km hike with 585m of altitude. Half way, you can take a rest and enjoy the beautiful views from the mountain Bignami cabin while the hikers which have still a lot of energy, they
can take the steap climb to the Fellaria Gletsjer.

3. 2-day Hike with overnight stay at Rifugio Ventina (good condition required)

4. Though 1 day Hike with amazing views of Lago Di Como (good condition required) - Panorama di San Bartolomeo

5. Difficult but beautifull day hike with stunning views over Lago Di Mezzola and Lago di Como. The start with a steep climb to bridge 600 meters in height brings you to an amazing spot
with a view on both lakes.

Hop On Hop Off Cruise & Motor boat rental at Lake Como
Explore the beauty of the Como Lake with a hop on hop off ferry ride, leaving in the morning at Colico, which is about 25 minutes away from the holiday house. Sip on an authentic Italian cappuccino as you plan your visits to picturesque spots along the shoreline. Don't miss the chance to indulge in a delicious lunch at Varenna, walk through the Beautifull garden around Villa Carlotta and dream away during a walk in the beautifull center of Bellagio.

An alternative way to explore the views from the lake is to rent a small motor boat (max 7p) for a few hours. On hot summer days, this can be an ideal day activity with kids and youth as swimming during this rides are allowed everywhere in the lake. Don't forget to stop at Laghetto di Piona to enjoy swimming at its best.
